Substrato is a cross-media project designed to bridge the cognitive, cultural and regulatory gap that separates everyday users from the opaque workings of major digital platforms. The project addresses one of the most profound tensions of our time: the disconnect between what we do online and a genuine understanding of why we do it.
Understanding the digital world is not a technical privilege, but an essential civic skill. As the law and institutions operate at a pace that is structurally out of step with the speed of technology (the ‘pacing problem’), Substrato responds through culture and design. The aim is not to promote a general mistrust of technology, but to provide users with a ‘shared grammar’ and the cognitive tools to recognise the mechanisms of conditioning at the very moment they take effect, thereby restoring people’s autonomy and critical awareness within the environment in which they live.
E-6 invites you to rediscover the lost charm of the slide, with its slow, ritualistic gestures. The first issue will recount the daily life of a young couple: their passions, the small gestures that marked their days and their deep connection with the land they lived on.
A story made up of simple moments, which recreates the authentic atmosphere of a time now long gone.
Mania Mono is a modular display typeface designed with Giulia Massimi as part of a university typography project. Built on a geometric system combining circular and square modules, the typeface investigates how a single grid can generate distinct visual languages. This approach led to two complementary families—Organic (rounded) and Electric (square)—available in Regular and Bold weights.
The typeface was later selected for the visual identity of the exhibition ISIA Research: New Design for a New World at Fabbrica del Vapore. The modular grid later served as the basis for a series of abstract symbols, developed from the typeface and incorporated into the exhibition's visual identity, as well as a set of acrylic gadgets.
Developed as part of the Image Design course at ISIA Roma Design, in collaboration with Trapizzino. The project was conceived with the aim of promoting the launch of the Trapizzino Party Box.
Concept: The Party Box is revolutionising the way we dine. Let’s break away from formality: with Trapizzino, the rules are being rewritten, because dining is only enjoyable if you’re having fun.
còrpo s. m. [lat. corpus «corpo, complesso, organismo»].
A general term used to refer to any finite portion of matter. What is a body if not volume and matter? Volume is the spatial extent of a body and, together with the matter of which it is composed, confers individuality upon it.
"The Aesthetics of Light in the Definition of Beauty"
A visual and conceptual journey that explores light as a universal language of beauty. From Greek philosophy to sacred art, advertising and design, the project explores how brightness continues to define our perception of beauty.
I designed a one-page interface dedicated to Bottega Veneta's Pouch bag, with an elegant and contemporary layout.
I used images that guide the user through the history of the bag, while the design visually picks up on the brand's typical weave stripes.
Astralis is a typography studio that explores the relationship between form, light and technology. The letters are created from light geometric structures, made up of lines, zigzags and curves that suggest an artificial language, halfway between the digital and the organic.
The result is an experimental alphabet, in which each sign becomes a small visual system, designed to communicate movement and complexity without losing balance and legibility.
It is wrong to think of shadow only as a negative totality, for there to be a shadow there must be a source of light. -The shadow represents the aspects of our personality that we do not accept, both positive and negative. -Repressing or hiding these aspects for a long time can leave visible marks or scars. -These signs can open up, revealing our dark zone, for it cannot be repressed forever. -This tear allows light to penetrate. -Showing our shadowy areas can help us to accept ourselves. Create LIGHT within our BLACK SPACE.
The concept of 'the flow of life' is inspired by the nature of musical sound waves. Sound waves propagate continuously through space, overlapping, crossing, and echoing. This constant, uninterrupted movement mirrors the time of existence, which is marked by a continuous flow of development.
This flow dictates how an individual is formed, develops their individuality through encounters with others, and progresses through the key stages of growth, love, and death until the end of life.
First prize of the competition "From the Common Market to the Europe of Citizens" organized by the Ministry of Education, University and Research together with the Department for European Policies of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers for the creation of the official logo 'Rome 2017', to celebrate the sixtieth anniversary of the signing of the 1957 Treaties of Rome.
The study of the project starts with a reflection on the identity and memory of Europe, and from there traces back to its cultural and historical roots with the different identities that have been confronting it for centuries. In identity, in fact, one finds the trace of the soul; in memory, a vision relating to recognising oneself and being recognisable. The two concepts appear so closely linked, since the memory of self is indispensable for recognising and realising oneself as an individual. In visual terms, I have traced the two words in the form of parliamentary theatre to link the two concepts through the representation of the man who knows and recognises.
